A blended malt from The Famous Grouse, aged 18 years and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Sherry influence is marked throughout, and the palate carries a touch of earthy peat from Highland Park.
On the nose, the notes run to raisins, prunes, figs and fruit cake, with fudge, cocoa, vanilla, polished oak and a faint smoke. The palate is velvety, with toffee, Manuka honey and dark chocolate, then candied red fruit, dark cherries and oak spice. The finish is warm and dry, with bonfire smoke at the back.
