The Famous Grouse 18 Years Old is a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It includes malt from Highland Park, which adds a light, earthy smoke.
The nose is led by dried fruit: raisins, prunes, dried figs and a fresh touch of orange peel, with Christmas cake, fudge, toffee, milk chocolate and Manuka honey, and hints of old oak, leather and star anise. The palate is creamy, dense and velvety, with rich malt, dates, figs and dark caramel, then nutmeg, cinnamon and polished oak tannins, and a soft note of peat smoke.
The finish is medium to long and warm, drying gently, with dark chocolate, nuts and ripe wood.
