The Famous Grouse is a blended whisky from Matthew Gloag & Son Ltd, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Sherry stands out on the nose, with raisins, figs, heather honey, creamy vanilla and a hint of candied orange peel. The palate is soft, silky and mature, with toasted nuts, rich malt, toffee and light spice from cinnamon and nutmeg.
The finish is long, clean and medium dry, with seasoned oak and a very delicate trace of peat smoke.
