This is a blended Scotch whisky from The Famous Grouse, finished in sherry casks and bottled at 40% ABV in a one-litre bottle. It is a deep red colour with an amber sheen.
The nose brings fresh orange and poached pear, cherry blossom, damp sultanas and cocoa beans with sweet cinnamon. The palate is smooth in texture and rich in character, with oak vanilla, dark chocolate, maple syrup, toasted almonds and hazelnuts.
The finish is rich and smooth, with notes of dried fruit as found in Christmas cakes, and a long sweet close.
