The Famous Grouse is a blended whisky from Matthew Gloag & Son, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle and supplied in its own box.
The nose is light and well balanced, with crystallised fruit, butter biscuit, toffee and a touch of citrus over a subtle background of oak.
On the palate it is smooth, mature and silky, with dried fruit such as raisins, sweet spices of cinnamon and ginger, and a note of pure malt. The finish is clean and balanced, of medium length and pleasantly dry.
