The First Editions Glenrothes is a single-cask Speyside single malt, distilled in 1997 at The Glenrothes Distillery and bottled by Hunter Laing as part of its First Editions collection. It matured for 23 years in a refill hogshead and was bottled in 2021 at a natural cask strength of 48.8%, yielding 247 bottles. It has no added colouring and is not chill-filtered.
The nose is vanilla custard with fresh apples and pears and a touch of mint. The palate brings vanilla caramel, toffee apple, ripe orchard fruit, orange zest and warming oak spice. The finish is long and gently warming, with vanilla, caramelised fruit and citrus.
