The Gauldrons is a Campbeltown blended malt from Douglas Laing, added to its Remarkable Regional Malts series. The name means 'bay of storms' and refers to the dark sandy coves of the Campbeltown coast.
It is produced in small batches and bottled at 46.2% ABV, without colouring or chill filtration. Each batch is numbered, so that future bottlings can be compared as the line develops in the cask. The packaging carries a golden spider's web, a nod to the legend of Robert the Bruce and the persistent spider.
