This is Batch 12 of The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength, a Speyside single malt created under Master Distiller Billy Walker. It is bottled at 59.7% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. The batch is a selection of Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, virgin oak, red wine and ex-bourbon casks. The colour is deep mahogany with copper highlights. The nose shows dark chocolate, raisins, figs and black cherries, with heather honey, mocha, candied orange, cinnamon and roasted coffee. The palate is rich and unctuous, with molasses, cocoa, dates and baking spice, plus vanilla, clove and nutmeg from the virgin oak. The finish is very long and warm, with bitter chocolate, espresso and bitter orange.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
