The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Grattamacco Wine Cask Finish is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. After its main maturation it was finished in casks that previously held Grattamacco, an Italian red wine. It is of natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose is ripe red berries, cherries, plums and brambles, with vanilla, cocoa and sweet spice. On the palate it is silky, with plum compote, dark chocolate and salted caramel, and soft tannins. The finish is long and warm, with ripe fruit, sweet spice and gentle wood.
