The GlenAllachie 11 Year Old Premier Cru Classé Finish is a Speyside single malt from one of Scotland's few independently owned and managed distilleries, which sits at the foot of Ben Rinnes.
It belongs to the GlenAllachie Wine Series. The whisky is first aged in American oak bourbon barrels, then given at least two further years in wine barriques. Here the French oak barriques came from one of just five Premier Cru Classé chateaux in Bordeaux.
The notes describe waves of butterscotch, blackcurrant and heather honey, with hints of minerality, poached orchard fruits and orange zest.
