The GlenAllachie 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46%. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, which shows as a deep, rich mahogany.
It was released as an extension of the core range after the distillery returned to private ownership under the GlenAllachie Distillers Company, and master distiller Billy Walker worked on the expression from the start.
The nose brings heather honey, dark chocolate and figs, with fruit cake, mocha and cinnamon. The palate is rich in fig syrup, mocha and treacle, followed by dark chocolate and sweet spices, and ginger comes through on the finish.
