The GlenAllachie 7 Year Old Hungarian Virgin Oak is a Speyside single malt bottled at 48%, in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to a series of special editions finished in unconventional oak and carries the craft signature of Billy Walker.
The whisky matured first in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then was finished in virgin Hungarian oak. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose has honey, toffee, soft cacao, nuts and sweet spice, with fresh wood and cinnamon. The palate is full and creamy, with dark honey, cacao, raisins, vanilla and strong oak spice. The finish is long, spicy and slightly dry.
