The GlenAllachie 8 Year Old is a Scotch single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46%. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
Master Distiller Billy Walker, drawing on about fifty years in the trade, built it from Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, with a small amount of virgin oak and red wine casks added to the vatting.
On the nose there is heather honey, caramel and cinnamon, followed by ginger, toasted almonds and chocolate. The palate brings honey, dried raisins and caramel, with cinnamon and mint.
