The GlenAllachie 9 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 48% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
It was first matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then finished in red wine casks from Portugal's Douro Valley, which add red fruit and soft tannins. The colour is dark amber with ruby glints.
The nose offers red fruits, plums, dark chocolate and honey, with raspberry jam and sweet spice. The palate is full and silky, with black cherries, ripe grapes, cocoa and toffee. The finish is long, fruity and spicy.
