The Glendronach 12 Year Old 1970's Green Stumpy Bottle

This is a 12 year old Glendronach single malt from Speyside, from the 1970s and in the green stumpy bottle of that period. The whisky is a straw colour. The nose is fruity and almost sugary, with tinned pineapple, marshmallow and a box of Turkish delight freshly opened, along with a faint smokiness like smoked tea. On the palate come fruit jams of quince and plum, orange marmalade, then cinnamon and white pepper, with ripe apples and a little mint. The finish is medium long, with ripe apples and cinnamon.
