Ode to the Dark is a Highland single malt from The GlenDronach, part of The Master's Anthology, a series focused on the influence of sherry casks. It is matured in Spanish Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and bottled at 50.8% ABV, with no added colouring and no chill filtration. The sherry character is intense. The nose offers mocha, black cherries, dark chocolate and raisins, with hints of brown sugar and ginger. On the palate come creamy espresso, crème caramel, dark grapes and chocolate with mint, followed by a full, warming finish.
