The GlenDronach Port Wood is a Highland single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It was first matured in Spanish Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, then given a second maturation of about three years in port casks from the Douro Valley in Portugal.
The nose has ripe plums, blackberries, strawberry jam and cherry blossom with a hint of ginger. On the palate come dark forest fruits, baked apple, spicy gingerbread and orange, and the finish brings raisins, candied orange peel and soft oak.
