The Glenlivet – Founder's Reserve 20cl (20cl, 40%)

Founder's Reserve is a Speyside single malt bottled by The Glenlivet, here in a 20cl bottle at 40%. The edition was introduced in 2015 and recalls the vision of George Smith, who in 1824 became the first distiller in the parish of Glenlivet to receive a legal licence. It matures in traditional oak casks and first-fill American oak casks, a choice that pairs citrus and orchard fruit with creamy vanilla. The distillery uses its lantern-shaped copper stills. On the nose there is gentle citrus with sweet orange, creamy vanilla and a hint of honey. Orange and pear on the palate come with a touch of caramelised apple, and the finish is long, creamy and soft.
