Glenlivet Groundbreaker Collection: Chapter One, The Journey Inward is a Speyside single malt at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It opens a series about exploration and forward-thinking whisky making, inspired by founder George Smith's spirit of independence and experimentation.
Carefully selected casks are brought together to bring out the distillery's fruit-driven character, with added sweetness and spice. The colour is a warm golden amber.
The nose offers ripe pear, apple and citrus peel with honey, vanilla and light floral notes. On the palate are orchard fruit, soft caramel and vanilla cream. The finish is long, with sweet malt, light oak spice and delicate citrus.
