The Glenlivet – XXV 25 Years (70cl, 43%)

The Glenlivet XXV is a 25-year-old single malt at 43% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is the oldest original bottling the distillery currently offers. The Glenlivet takes its name from the small valley of the River Livet, which runs into the Spey. The distillery was the first in the area to be licensed, and only its own bottlings may carry 'The' before the name. They also bear the small line 'Distilled by George & J. G. Smith' on the label, a reference to the founders. It is typically described as marked by strong sherry, spice and fruit.
