The Glenrothes 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured only in sherry-seasoned oak casks. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, at natural colour.
The distillery was founded in 1879 and aims for a no-nonsense, finely crafted single malt.
The nose has light banana and vanilla. The palate brings lemon, banana, melon and a hint of cinnamon, and the long, sweet finish carries gala melon and light spice.
