The Glenrothes 12 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. This is an older-format presentation of the 12 year old.
The nose is light and fruity, with ripe banana and creamy vanilla at first, then melon, cinnamon, orange peel and a hint of pastry or marzipan. The palate is soft, silky and rich, with tropical fruit (banana, Galia melon and peach), cinnamon, honey and caramel, and gentle oak that adds structure without bitterness. The finish is medium to long and sweet, with baking spices, light wood and fruit, and a faint touch of cocoa or dark chocolate.
