The Glenrothes 1988 GW is a single malt bottled at 46.2% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is clean, with ripe pear, a little raspberry and a thin layer of vanilla. With time it shows light mineral notes, oak and a creamy edge, while the pear and vanilla grow stronger. The palate is oily and rich in malt, with sweet caramel followed by oak, then lemon freshness and a gentle herbal bitterness. The finish is medium to long and dry, with oak, soft spice from bourbon and a lingering citrus note.
