This is a single malt Scotch whisky from The Glenrothes, distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2016. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV.
The nose brings toasted cereal and sweet malt, with lemon meringue pie and orange peel, then black cherries, butterscotch, vanilla and a faint touch of sandalwood. The palate is silky and creamy, led by ripe orange and dark chocolate with sweet vanilla, then baked apples with cinnamon, acacia honey, praline and grated nutmeg. The finish is long, warm and drying, with vanilla, ginger, white pepper and a bitter note of black cherry.
