The London No. 1 Dry Gin (75cl, 47%)

The London No. 1 Dry Gin is a London dry gin crafted in small batches at Thames Distillers in London using traditional pot stills and quadruple-distilled. It is owned by González Byass and distilled by Charles Maxwell. It is blended with twelve botanicals: juniper, citrus peel, cinnamon, angelica, bergamot, gardenia, iris root and licorice. Its pale turquoise-blue hue is naturally derived from gardenia extract. The aroma offers floral intensity with lavender, lilac and gardenia over juniper and bright citrus. On the palate it is crisp juniper, followed by warming spice and a hint of licorice sweetness, finishing with gentle citrus pith. Despite 47% ABV, it has a clean, smooth mouthfeel with no harsh burn.
