Awayuki is a Japanese strawberry-flavoured gin made with rare strawberries from Nara Prefecture and classic gin botanicals.
It uses Awayuki, White Pearl and Kotoka strawberries, including berries not perfect for aesthetic sale but excellent in flavour, with large per-batch usage to infuse flavour. The base spirit is 100% grain-distilled gin.
The gin is clear, with fresh strawberry aroma underlaid by juniper and citrus, a gently restrained sweetness on the palate and a smooth, clean finish.
