This is The Macallan 18 Years Old Double Cask, the 2022 annual release, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is a Speyside single malt of natural colour, matured in sherry-seasoned casks of both American and European oak.
The nose offers dried fruit, ginger and toffee, with orange, clove and nutmeg. The palate is rich with raisins and sultanas, alongside caramel, vanilla and ginger, balanced by wood, spice and citrus zest. The finish carries warm oak spice, ginger and orange.
