A 25 year old single malt Scotch whisky from The Macallan distillery in Speyside.
The whisky was matured for 25 years in sherry casks made from European oak from Jerez. It is deep amber in colour with golden glints.
The nose is intense and complex, with dried fruit, sherry, raisins, orange peel and vanilla, plus touches of toasted oak and spice. The palate is full and silky, with dark chocolate, cinnamon, dried apricots and figs. The finish is warm, with balanced sweetness and a subtle smoky depth.
