The Macallan A Night on Earth – The Journey (70cl, 43%)

The Journey is a bottling in The Macallan's A Night On Earth series, made to celebrate the New Year and people coming together. It is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky of natural colour, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, and was created in collaboration with the artist Nini Sum. The whisky was matured in first-fill American bourbon barrels and in European and American sherry-seasoned oak casks. It is a limited edition. Tasting notes describe a fine nose led by the bourbon casks, with floral notes, oak, vanilla, coconut and honey. The palate is creamy and fresh, with citrus, sweets, vanilla and ginger, then coconut, marzipan and cinnamon. The finish is medium in length, with hints of oak.
