This is a Speyside single malt from Macallan in a 1 litre bottle, released for Travel Retail to mark the Chinese zodiac Year of the Ox. It is bottled at 40% abv.
It marries four cask types: hand-picked European and American sherry-seasoned casks and hogsheads, combined with American oak bourbon casks. The oak comes from North America, Spain and Scotland, in keeping with Macallan's traditional influences.
