The Macallan Decades Twenties (50cl, 40%)

The Macallan Decades Twenties is a Speyside single malt released in the early 2000s, in a 50cl bottle at 40% ABV. It belongs to the Travel Series, which recreates the distillery style of past decades. This bottling recreates the Macallan style of the 1920s. Output from that period went mostly to blenders as a top dressing single malt for blended Scotch, while the few remaining casks matured for longer than usual. Master Distiller David Robertson set out to recreate that style by matching samples from 1920s bottles against more recent distillations.
