The Macallan Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary Release is an 18 year old single malt, distilled in 2007 and bottled at 45.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in red wine casks and sherry-seasoned oak casks.
The nose brings polished sweet oak, vanilla and intense nuts. The palate opens soft and welcoming with creamy vanilla and caramel, then champagne truffles with cocoa powder, coffee, nuts, berries and apricots, with subtle spice. The finish is long and refined, with a lingering warmth.
