The Macallan Estate (70cl, 43%)

The Macallan Estate was launched in 2019 and is a single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The spirit is distilled from barley grown on the Elchies Macallan Estate, on the banks of the River Spey, and this barley is distilled during just one week each year. The whisky matured exclusively in sherry-seasoned butts and hogsheads. It comes in a box with a slate inlay that represents the Scottish distillery landscape. The tasting notes begin with wood spice, moving to dry oak with candied raisin and fresh fig, then sweet orange, lemon, banana and caramel.
