The Macallan – Harmony Collection Jing (70cl, 43.9%)

This Speyside single malt is the 2025 release in The Macallan's annual Harmony Collection, made in collaboration with JING Tea. It takes its cue from a Phoenix Honey Orchid oolong from Phoenix Mountain in Guangdong, and is bottled at 43.9% in a 70cl bottle without added colour. Most of the whisky matured in sherry-seasoned American oak casks. Sherry-seasoned European oak adds toasted depth and a fine dryness, and a small share of ex-bourbon casks adds further sweetness. The gift box paper is made from reused tea leaves. Tasting notes describe summer peach, apricot, blossom honey, tropical fruit and sweet oak on the nose. The palate has peach syrup, warm citrus and toffee, and the finish is fruity, sweet and complex.
