The Macallan Rare Cask is a single malt Scotch whisky from the 2023 release, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It has a ruby red colour.
The nose opens with soft vanilla and raisins, followed by sweet apple, lemon and orange, balanced by ginger root, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. On the palate the spices stay firm alongside polished, intense oak, with vanilla and chocolate leading towards a light touch of citrus zest. The finish is warm and woody.
