The Macallan – Rare Cask Black (70cl)

The Macallan Rare Cask Black is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. Rare casks were hand-selected by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team and matured in a combination of American and European oak sherry-seasoned casks. Its gentle peat smoke comes from aged stocks of peated spirit, an unexpected addition to the Macallan style. The colour is a deep burnished amber. The nose offers dried fruits, nutmeg and oak. On the palate come dates, figs and raisins with a gentle smokiness, and the finish is long and fruity with a trace of wood smoke.
