This is a 29 year old single cask Jura, the first in the Single Cask Distillery Series from The Scalasaig. It came from American oak ex-bourbon barrel number 2505, filled in 1992, and was bottled at 48.1% ABV.
It is non-chill filtered and natural in colour, with 202 bottles drawn from the barrel. The distillery was built in the early 1960s, and its spirit is typically not peated. A shorter-than-most fermentation gives it a firm structure that suits long maturation.
