The Shin 10 Year Old is a Japanese malt whisky matured in Mizunara oak, in a 70cl bottle at 48%. It belongs to the Shin Malt range, which was created by the master blender Ken Usama.
The nose shows fresh wooden barrel and maltose. On the palate come Mizunara oak, maltose, nectar, coffee bean and fruit acids, with a slight floral fragrance.
The finish is sweet, with the barrel bringing out several levels of spice alongside a deep floral, woody scent.
