The Shin 15 Year Old is a Japanese malt whisky matured with Mizunara oak, in a 700ml bottle at 48% ABV. The Shin Malt Mizunara range was created by master blender Ken Usama and is described as the bigger sibling of the Shinobu whiskies.
The nose combines deep wood, maltose, nectar, blueberry, Mizunara oak and milk coffee. The palate is oily, with ripe fruit, lemon peel, leather, cinnamon and ginger.
The finish carries a hint of sweet malt, with the aroma of wooden barrels and a touch of fruit.
