A Japanese pure malt whisky from The Shinobu, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made entirely from malt whisky and has no added colouring.
The distiller, Mr. Usami, selects whiskies from around the world and first rests them in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks. They are then finished in Japanese Mizunara oak in Japan.
The nose offers vanilla, plums and mint. The palate is slightly sweet with spice, vanilla, citrus and smoky oak, leading to a medium, sweet and woody finish with mint and a slight bitterness.
