The Shinobu Koshi Pure Malt Mizunara Oak (70cl)

The Shinobu Koshi is a pure malt whisky in a 70cl bottle, made by the distiller Mr. Usami in Japan. He selects whiskies from around the world, rests them first in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, then finishes them in Japanese Mizunara oak. It is all natural, with no colouring added. It is old gold in colour. The nose brings vanilla, plums and mint. The palate is slightly sweet, with spices, vanilla, citrus and smoky oak. The finish is medium in length, sweet, woody and minty, with a slight bitterness.
