The Singleton Dufftown 17 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from the 2020 Special Release, in a 70cl bottle at 55.1% abv.
The aromas are mellow and mild, with honeycomb first, then a trace of beeswax, a faint floral note of dry grasses or wallflowers, and fresh orchard fruit on an earthy base. A little water softens the nose and brings out pear drop boiled sweets.
The palate is creamy-smooth, sweet and intense, with a drying, slightly coating texture. The finish is warming and drying, with peppery spice.
