The Singleton Dufftown 17 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the 2020 Special Release, bottled at a natural strength of 55.1% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is mellow and mild, with honeycomb and spun honey, a trace of beeswax, faint dry grasses or wallflowers, and orchard fruit over an earthy base. Water adds pear drop sweets.
The palate is creamy-smooth, sweet and intense, drying and slightly coating, and water makes it smoother and sweeter. The finish is warming and drying, with peppery spice.
