This is Singleton of Dufftown 12 Year Old Luscious Nectar, a single malt bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is a relaunch of the Singleton name from Dufftown, replacing the Singleton of Auchroisk.
Rich amber in colour with mahogany highlights, it is medium to full bodied and was designed to introduce new drinkers to malt whisky.
The nose opens with polished wood and toasted nuts, then baked apple, soft brown sugar and a mossy note. Sweetness and crunchy nuts lead the palate, with brown sugar and espresso coffee, and the finish is medium to long, drying and crisp.
