A 53 year old single malt from The Singleton of Dufftown, bottled at 40.6% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Paragon of Time collection, which gathers the oldest whiskies the brand has released, each bottle individually numbered. The colour is golden brown. The nose opens with rose water and a little candle wax, then tropical and berry fruits over dried lavender or scented leather. The palate is sweetly fruity, with dried figs and toffee, a cooling freshness, and dried fruits that grow richer with time. The finish is long, sweet and gently drying, with a warming hint of ginger and a faint smokiness.
