The Singleton of Glen Ord 40 Year Old Limited Edition (70cl, 45.9%)

This is a 40 year old single malt from Glen Ord, bottled at 45.9% in a 70cl bottle as a limited edition. It is the third and final release in the Epicurean Odyssey series, designed by malt master Maureen Robinson. After its main maturation, the whisky spent almost three decades in ex-rum casks, then was married in Ron Zacapa XO solera casks. It is described as rich and luscious, with velvety dark chocolate, juicy plums, toffee-covered tropical fruits and a hint of waxy smoke.
