This is a 30 year old Highland single malt from Tullibardine, released as The Stillman's Dram. It is a limited edition, bottled by the distillery at 45% in a 70cl bottle, and matured in sherry casks.
The sherry shows in the notes: a dense, oily nose of ripe pears, black plums, raisins and mandarin, with old oak, leather and a trace of smoke behind. The palate is silky and full-bodied, with Demerara sugar, chocolate and candied orange peel, kept in check by peppery oak.
The finish is long and warm, with malted barley, dry oak and raisins with molasses.
