This is a 10 year old Macduff single malt, distilled in 2011 and bottled independently by The Whisky Agency in 2022. It comes from a single sherry hogshead and was bottled at 51.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with an outturn of 395 bottles.
The sherry cask adds depth to Macduff's fruity malt character, bringing together orchard fruit, dried fruit, malt sweetness and warming spice.
The nose offers ripe peach and sweet fruit with malt and gentle sherry sweetness. The palate moves from orchard fruit and rich malt to dried fruit, nuts and spice, and the finish is long and warming.
