The Whistler The Good, The Bad and The Smoky (48%)

The Good, The Bad and The Smoky is an Irish blended malt from Boann Distillery in Meath, bottled at 48% ABV. It is a tribute to spaghetti westerns, made with whiskey from three corners of Ireland. It matured first in ex-bourbon casks, then was finished for at least ten months in small smoked quarter casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose offers woodsmoke, vanilla, toffee and fresh fruit. On the palate come camp-fire embers, herbal spice, toasted vanilla, salty notes and intense smoke, leading to a long, dry finish with grain sweetness and spice.
