Thompson Bros Linkwood 2008 13 Year Old

This is a Speyside single malt from Linkwood, matured for 13 years and bottled independently by Thompson Bros. It is a release of 636 bottles, each with a swan on the label. The notes begin with ice cream cones, toasted marshmallow and a touch of oak resin on the nose. The palate brings plenty of vanilla with a faint hint of hay, alongside salted popcorn, almonds and honey. The finish turns to cooked fruit, peppery citron and some greener, more herbal notes.
